We are looking for a Junior Automotive Wiring Technician

Job profile

We are looking to recruit a Junior Wiring Technician to join our growing electrical department. Although predominantly team based, you must also have the ability to work on your own with the flexibility to meet deadlines.

As a Ginetta Wiring Technician, you will be working to produce wiring looms & harnesses for a number of high-end road and race cars, whilst paying particular attention to the packaging and integration of electrical systems onto the vehicles to optimise performance.

A background in electronics is preferred but not essential, and any experience/competencies in other aspects of automotive manufacture is also beneficial. Under the mentorship and experienced guidance of our senior staff, this is the perfect opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in a forward thinking, fast paced, multi-faceted automotive manufacturer.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Great attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Ability to follow work instructions and read technical/electrical drawings
  • Ability to manage & maintain a catalogue of electrical hardware

  • Record keeping including job sheets and customer invoicing.
  • Communicating with all customers to provide quotes and updates on work to their vehicle.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be thorough, well organised and take pride in their work and appearance. Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a passion for events, the new addition to the team would be required to travel across Europe and work weekends/evenings. Whilst it is not imperative, a knowledge and interest in motorsport would be beneficial. Exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a fun and exciting business!

Key responsibilities will include:

  • First point of contact for all customer enquiries
  • Support the Head of Business & Events with the planning and implementing of all aspects of event co-ordination such as staffing, venues, hospitality, accommodation, travel
  • Work with the transport manager to arrange logistics for each event
  • Planning event run sheets for instructors and crew
  • Manage and oversee all events and bookings
  • Oversee all admin elements of the office, events and the hub (workshop and storage facility)
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues
  • Planning multiple events at once
  • Creating event proposals as per a client’s requirements
  • Working to a budget while planning event specifics
  • Processing orders, bookings and payments
  • Executing events on the day, including customer experience, administration, sign on, problem solving, welcoming guests, communicating with staff and venues
  • Demonstrating good knowledge of circuits and product offering to customers
  • Anticipating and planning for different scenarios
  • Upselling products on events and creating sales opportunities during events
  • Customer service follow up calls

Key Skills:

  • You should be organised, self-motivated with a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Previous work experience in a similar role
