LNT COMPLETE FIRST BUILD FOR AVERY

LNT Construction has completed its first new care home build for care home operator Avery Healthcare Group.  The 84 bed facility at Kirkstall, West Yorkshire named ‘Aire View’ is worth in the region of £5m and will offer a mixture of residential, dementia, convalescence and respite care to residents.

The handover signals the start of a strong partnership between LNT Construction and Avery Healthcare with the developer working on a further 3 builds in the North and Midlands for the operator, run by Managing Director John Strowbridge.

John said: “We are very pleased to have taken possession of Aire View. Its 100% en-suite rooms and other leading edge features, mean it will sit very well within the Avery portfolio. The next job is to get an excellent CQC rating as soon as possible to sit equally with all the other homes in the group.”

Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of LNT Construction added: “It is a significant move for us to be handing over the first of four homes to Avery Healthcare, at a time when other developers and operators have had to halt their expansive visions due to an unforgiving economic climate.  We have worked with John and his team throughout the whole design process, to include many bespoke features to Aire View Care Home. It will be a superb facility for the local community and I look forward to developing many more LNT Construction builds for John and his team.”

All rooms have en-suite style WCs and showers and exceed the recommended space requirements to provide a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere with large spacious lounges and serveries. In addition the building also benefits from fully landscaped sensory gardens, a courtyard, a hairdressing salon and attractive floor to ceiling windows in public areas.

LNT Construction has built over 2000 care beds in the North since 1997, for a variety of third party operators making it the region’s largest care bed provider.
